How a store connects

The merchant signs in once. Zikkio renews the admin token when it expires.

  1. Your product creates a connect session for Magento 2
  2. The merchant enters the store address and an admin login
  3. Zikkio exchanges the login for a token and checks the connection
  4. The store shows up as connected

Start the connection from your product

POST /v1/connect/sessions
curl -X POST https://api.zikkio.com/v1/connect/sessions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer zk_test_••••" \
  -d '{ "platform": "magento" }'

What Zikkio handles on Magento 2

The platform details your integration does not have to deal with.

Store views and websites

Multi-store setups are read per store view and website.

MSI or legacy stock

Stores on Multi-Source Inventory and on the legacy stock model are both handled.

Attribute codes

Configurable attributes whose codes differ from their labels are mapped for you.

Magento 2 questions

Before you connect the first Magento 2 store.

Do you support multi-store setups?
Yes: Magento 2 store views and websites.
Do you support Adobe Commerce?
Adobe Commerce on your own servers works like Magento 2. Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service is added when a customer needs it.
What if the store is slow?
Requests to slow stores get more time and are retried, instead of failing the whole import.
