How a store connects

The merchant installs your app once. Zikkio stores the token and renews it every hour, so the connection does not drop.

Hourly tokens

Shopify access tokens last one hour and the refresh token changes at every renewal. Zikkio is the only one that renews it, with a lock across servers.

Bulk catalog export

Catalogs are exported with Shopify bulk operations and downloaded in resumable pages, so stores with millions of rows come through complete.

One token per store

Shopify keeps one valid token per app and store. Zikkio holds it for your app, so two systems never compete for it.

How long does a Shopify token last?
One hour. The refresh token lasts 90 days and changes at every renewal; Zikkio renews it before it expires.
What happens if the merchant uninstalls the app?
Your app is told about the uninstall and passes it on to Zikkio, which stops calling the store.
